BRR Today on Boardroom Radio, I’m speaking with the Chief Executive Officer of the Manaccom Corporation, Mr. Mike Veverka. Mike, thanks very much for
10 joining us today.
MNL Thanks, James.
BRR Now, we saw last week an announcement from Manaccom about a new acquisition. Can you just tell us about the details of this latest acquisition and
15 what it’s going to bring for Manaccom?
MNL Sure. Well, we’ve purchased some key assets out of a former Brisbane-based software distributor called Intellitron. The business was known to us as they purchased many other software titles from Manaccom. In fact, many of their resellers were indirectly purchasing from our range of products. So this
20 purchase will enable us to expand our offering to those customers.
What will it do for Manaccom? Well, the purchase will expand our list of suppliers and expand our customer database. Our sales team will have more products to sell and more customers to visit so it’s expected to have a
25 positive effect on our results.
BRR Now Mike, acquisition was one of the things that you have flagged was part of the Manaccom vision going forward. What should we expect to continue to look forward from Manaccom in the quarters ahead?
30 MNL Well, we’re still looking for further acquisitions. This particular acquisition has by no means filled us up, so to speak, so we are looking for further acquisitions. Manaccom is in a strong position and we’re able to act pretty fast when opportunities such as this arise. This particular deal came about very quickly and I think we’re able to respond very quickly and take
35 advantage of it.
Looking ahead, well, we’ve just paid our maiden dividend and the dividend checks should be in the hands of our shareholders today. Based from our current performance, we expect to continue paying dividends in future years.
40 We’ve just recorded a record profit of $2.73 million from revenues of just under $38 million for last financial year and we’re aiming to improve on that in the coming year.
