BRR Today on Boardroom Radio, I’m speaking with the Managing Director of Pioneer Nickel, Mr. David Crook. David, thanks very much for joining us

PIO Good day. How are you today?
BRR Very well, thanks, David. Now, I understand you’ve just started drilling at your Mt. Thirsty prospect.
15 PIO Yes, drilling started yesterday and we expect to see some results within about six weeks.
BRR Now, David, from some of the earlier aeromagnetic surveys and also from the projects around Mt. Thirsty, what knowledge do you already have and what
20 will you be looking to target?
PIO We flew aeromagnetic imagery just after we listed for the project, and we have soil geochemistry. And these clearly show the continuity between our project and the Barra Resources-Fission Energy Joint Venture, which is on adjoining tenement. They have about $29-million tonne resource, so we
25 expect to have the extension to that.
BRR And I also understand that the metallurgy at Mt. Thirsty is quite distinct from other nickel laterite projects. What do you understand of the metallurgy and why is this significant?
30 PIO We proposed that a partial leach could extract the high-value cobalt in the proportion of the nickel, and by doing this, we’ll greatly reduce the capital costs for our future processing plan.
BRR All right, David, well thanks very much for the update at Mt. Thirsty, and we
35 look forward to hearing some of the results from the drilling when they do come to hand.
