BRR Welcome to Boardroom Radio. Today, I am reporting from the Diggers and Dealers Conference 2008 in Kalgoorlie. I am joined by Ashley Neil from NewSat. Ashley, you have got yourselves quite an interesting stand up here,
10 where looking at, as you can see from the photos, we have got a satellite and a little pot-pot golf setup. Can you tell me what is the significance of this or how does this tie NewSat into this Diggers and Dealers Conference?
NWT Well, might be worth every single Diggers and Dealers conference. We support 80% of the mining industry here in Australia and the golf game is
15 something that drags people in there. Everybody wins a price and everybody wants to have a shot.
BRR So you have mentioned there, Ashley, that you work with about 80% of the mining industry.
20 NWT Yes.
BRR Can you just tell our listeners what are some of the services you provide and you have obviously got some great penetration there? What is so unique about your product that it is attracting such a lage part of the market?
25 NWT Well, we actually cover 80% of the mining industry around the world from a coverage perspective. The reason we do that is companies invest their confidence in their communications with us because we have got world-class quality infrastructure. So we support the Australian defence force, the US defence force, the Australian government, as well as your moms and dads
30 who have not got Internet at the (inaudible) (0:01:17). So it is a complete range of services and we are flexible enough because we own the infrastructures that we can put something together for anybody.
BRR Just finally, Ashley, you have talked there about the extensive infrastructure
35 that you do have and the quality of it. In your opinion, what are some of the key reasons why investors listening or looking to get into this area should invest in NewSat?
NWT Yes, good question. We are Australia’s largest independent satellite company. We have been listed for 10 years and we are a debt-free company.
40 We have continued to grow and we are also looking at launching Australia’s first Ka-band satellite, which will make the Company into a billion-dollar company.
BRR Well, Ashley, thanks for taking the time to speak to us today. Really an
45 interesting story. Probably, at the moment, on the list of stands, you guys are probably kicking the biggest goals. So thanks for speaking to us today and glad that you are having a good time at Diggers.
