BRR    Today, Boardroom Radio is having a chat to Mr. Trevor Ireland, Managing Director of Australasia Gold. Trevor, glad to have you on Boardroom Radio.

10        AAO     Good morning, Joe. Good to be here.

 

BRR    Now Trevor, we’re here to discuss you r quarterly which is recently released to the market. First up, touching on the some of the highlights.  You acquired a new gold exploration project just east of Norseman, could you tell our

15                    listeners what you got your hands on in?

AAO     Yeah, certainly. The big story of the quarter for us, we’ve been wanting to be in Western Australia more or less since listing but the trick of course is picking the right project. We think we found it at a project called Dundas southeast of Norseman and it’s a block of license applications which are about to be

20                    granted and we think they tick most of the boxes for a very exciting touch ground.

 

BRR    You note that there’s an absence of prior drilling. It’s nice change from a lot of the goal we’ve seen come on line in the last year or so sort of been

25                    reinventing old sort of lower grade projects. This one certainly seems like it’s got some great prospectivity?

AAO     It’s been, if you like, protected by the government. In earlier days, it was of interest for base metals throughout, much of that Albany tried to build, more recently has come in to the gold focus with the discovery of Tropicana up the

30                    line and this particular area has been on something called the Dundas Nature Reserve, a designated Class B for which until recently exploration has been not allowed. The government has reversed that ruling and so providing we mine (inaudible) (00:01:34) environmentally, it’s now open for exploration access.  So we have the opportunity to have a first look and that’s one of its

35                    very strong points of attraction Joe.

 

BRR    So Trevor, loosely speaking, what are your plans in terms of exploration there?

AAO     Well the preliminaries that have been done for us is airborne magnetics and

40                    some patchy areas in which soil geochemistry has been done. That soil geochemistry that has been done has thrown up some terrific anomalies up to 7 by 1 kilometres and we want to complete that soil geochemistry throughout the exploration license area and on those areas that have been sampled, those targets are drill-ready, so they’re just (inaudible) (00:02:16) for them to

45                    bring the rubber again and we’ll do both of those things in the first months of the license.

 

BRR    And you’ve got the drill rigs into your Mount Ringwood Project, how has that been progressing?

AAO     Steady, steady obviously early days, we’re drilling the holes but it takes weeks before the assays come back and that’s a discovery from sic months ago.  We are undercover, we found a brand new gold occurrence with our earliest reconnaissance drilling.  We’re following up with amore systematic

5                      fences and drilling and hopefully work out some real mineralization that go for us to that geochemical anomaly.

 

BRR    And finally, looking ahead at your program, Trevor what can you tell us and are you doing some more drilling at McKinlay as well?

10        AAO     The drilling just mentioned started at Ringwood will go on for another few weeks.  Immediately after that, in early September, we get the big guns, the Reverse Circulation and Diamond Rig in to test the depth extensions of McKinley.  Gold prospects with mineralization at surface not seriously drilled that we acquired a few months ago and our ongoing work at Glencoe, the

15                    deposit in which we see, most hope in the depth extensions in there.  First chance to put a hole, more than a hundred meters deep into that one.  There are some EM surveys in both northern territory and South Australia and the ongoing results out of Murninnie.  So a busy quarter coming up.
