BRR Today Boardroom Radio is joined by Mr. George Sakalidis, the Managing Director of EMU Nickel. George, great to have you back on Boardroom

EMU Good morning, Joel. Thank you again.

 

BRR Thanks, George. Now, you had an announcement out to the market this morning. You have been following up with some soil sampling on gold and

15 nickel anomalies out at your Koolyanobbing, I think I may have mispronounced that, project. Could you tell us what sort of test have you been doing and what sort of results of have you yielded to date?

EMU We did some initial work a number of months ago and we came up with anomalous nickel area and we decided to cover the whole western side of the

20 tenement where we suspect there are ultramafics on the strike from an existing nickel sulphide intersection, which is quite encouraging. It is 20 kilometres away (inaudible) (0:00:48) the ultramafic zone and appears to be continuous based on the aeromag. So that is where we have been concentrating on. These results are an infill followup and we basically cover

25 the 5-kilometre strike zone along that contact. We are quite encouraged because the values are quite anomalous, quite a bit of background up to almost 25 times background in nickel and also anomalous in copper. The site kicks in platinum as well. So we like that sort of target, and not that far away from there, we have got a very broad gold anomaly as well and it goes up to

30 300 ppb gold, and we are quite encouraged by that. It is 1.5 kilometres in extent which is quite large. We will be planning follow-up checking and also drilling in the near future, both for nickel and gold. So this is part of the program that Emu Nickel has been (inaudible) (0:01:50), looking at all its tenements and taking samples in for work where required. Even on this

35 tenement, we are planning further work including VTEM and we expect to have a helicopter, the EM group coming down in August or maybe early September, to cover this area to see if we have any nickel sulphide conductors. That is fast-tracking, looking for these conductors both on soils and from the air, I guess.

BRR So George, all things going as planned. You would hope to perhaps initiate some drilling out there late in the September quarter?

EMU Yes, we expect to be out there on the ground putting some holes down. We are employing a small rig in one of our other companies and we will be able

45 to move it over and start testing these areas. If we have strong conductors and if a bigger rig is required, we will bring that in as well.

 

BRR Looking across the Emu Nickel portfolio generally, could you perhaps update our listeners and your shareholders on progress so far? I know you have been doing a bit of work over there, like where Xstrata Nickel is funding exploration.

EMU Well, Xstrata Nickel have done safety drill holes now and nearly all the holes, albeit anomalous nickel, sometimes up to 4%. We now know there is a

5 coherent conductive zone which they have not as yet hit. It is about 150 metres down plunge, showing up in a number of different holes, so quite an exciting target but still needs to be drilled, and we expect Xstrata in the near future to start pegging holes into that as well. That is the main target. We do see two zones which are not closed off and we expect further work to

10 continue there. That is probably our best area, given the number of high-grade nickel hits there. The other thing that is going on is Mincor. Mincor did fly a VTEM survey a number of months ago and they are now looking at following up these conductors. They are quite excited and we are as well, in that they see quite strong conductors. I think six of them occurred with the

15 right sort of rock top (inaudible) (0:04:12) rock top. So we expect some drilling potentially in August and September as well, testing these conductors and definitely look forward to that program.

 

BRR George, it sounds like there is plenty happening in the Yilgarn. We will
